Voice Conferencing Touch-tone Commands

Simple touch-tone commands for complete call control.

Pressing star (*) on a touch-tone phone, followed by the associated digits, allows the Chairperson to manage the conference call without any operator assistance, and without leaving the call. Some commands are available only to the Chairperson and others to both the Chairperson and participants.

*0 Request Operator– Will bring the live operator into the conference. This works for both the Chairperson and participants.

*1 Dial-Out to Participant – Gives the Chairperson a dial tone and allows him to dial out to a participant

*1 - Joins the Chairperson and the Participant to the conference
*2 - Joins the new Participant to the conference and the Chairperson gains access to a new outside line to dial again to add another Participant
*3 - Disconnects the Participant line (if unavailable) and brings the Chairperson back into the call
*4 - Disconnects the line and the Chairperson may continue dialing to add other Participants

*4 Call Record – To initiate recording of the call.  Press 1 to start the Recording

*4 - Cancel the Recording

*5 Lecture Mode – Allows a Chairperson to place all participants into listen mode
(Pressing *5 again returns all participants to normal mode)

*6 Mute Line – Allows the Chairperson and/or participants to mute one’s own line. Pressing *6 again un-mutes one’s line and this will work when in Lecture Mode. So for a large call, questions & answers maybe handled with participants muting and un-muting their lines event if *5 (lecture mode) has been initiated by the Chairperson.

*7 Lock Conference – Allows a Chairperson to lock call from other participants attempting to enter
(Pressing *7 again un-locks the conference)

*8 Roll Call – Provides the Chairperson the participant names (recorded when they entered the call)

*9 Participant Count – Provides the number of participants on the call to the Chairperson

## Conference Continuation – By default, participants can continue talking after the Chairperson leaves the call (Conf. Continuation is ON). To turn OFF Conference Continuation, the Chairperson needs to press ## anytime during the call. When Conference Continuation is OFF, all participants are disconnected when the Chairperson hangs up.
